Luminescent. Colored pencils, eh? Did you waterfy some spots, or is that effect airbrush? The lighting on Jesus seems to tbe the latter. Who are those guys in the background - modern man as Pharisees?
Hey Paul, sorry for the delay. I watered down acrylic and blew it through an airbrush, then I hit some spots with washes and splatters, then hit areas with salt crystals for added effect. The guys in the background are modern Pharisees with a couple characters reaching out depicting the varied mix of choices we all make. That was a hard sell to Scripture Press but they eventually liked the modern slant. I'm ready to paint a new series of oils with this theme but it will be more raw in terms of vision and brush work.
