Day 3 for Tim
Pencil & watercolor in a Moleskine. I posted the uncolored version on Instagram this morning. (See below) Thought I'd splash a little tone on there before posting here.
Really liking the splash of color on the the pencil drawing. Both look great Tim! I see you used the Blackwing pencil. I have the grey version from Palomino but never tried the black version. How do you rate it. Been very interested in picking a box up.
wow, I had no idea about doing watercolor on moleskin, that is cool. I need to be around more artists, I guess....i will check those pencils out, too. I love the color version of this damsel in distress.

Pablo, I haven't used the gray version, so I don't know the difference. But these are pretty indistinguishable from the original Blackwings that went out of production a few years ago, except for the erasers. These are much better than the old ones. Jody, yes, the larger Moleskines have slightly thicker paper and can hold up to watercolor washes fairly well. But the pages still crinkle if you get them very wet.

Both are nice. Maybe I gotta pick up one of those moleskins. Is this the one you use, Tim?
