I will do a drawing of the Kennedys that I have. It's a nice line up, you can really see the family resemblance.
This kind of looks like Robert Redford-ish version of Ted K.

Moss

Jody's drawing a few months back got me interested in this show (The BBC's The IT Crowd). I watched all three seasons on Thursday & Friday. Too funny.

Someone's on the Naughty List!

Love this Strathmore watercolor paper, except it doesn't take my brush pen so well. The ink lines bled a bit. Might have to re-do this one at some point.

At any rate, Merry Christmas!

Beard

Young Santa? Another digital sketch with the Manga Studio brush. Here's a tight review of the new version of the software.

Messin' with Manga Studio Brush

From Chandra - Two Rexes!

Experimenting with starting two drawings off the same way, but then going in different directions with them.

Good will toward... cats & mice!

I am working on the new Tom & Jerry series! Thank goodness it's not a re-boot! It's fresh, yet they are retaining as much of the original charm and humor as possible. Can't wait to see the finished product! Meanwhile, here are some Christmas cards I am sending to a couple of my new co-workers.

An ode to Phil Hartman

Who I totally miss. Now, I want to watch every DVD that has a hint of Troy McClure and some News Radio when he was on.

I posted it on my new Tumblr page today. Feel free to subscribe to it!

Sketches :)

From "Battleship" which I thought I would really hate and mock but I was super surprised and entertained by it, to the point where I wouldn't mind owning that on DVD. Redbox is a good thing. My Liam Neesom sketch did not go so well.

Sort of RIcky Martin!

oh, how very delighted I was to encounter this picture. Albeit, a low res picture but still, I mean, come on. Look at the pose. I know it wont be for very long if you're male as it's well,....self explanatory.

Germs!

So Everybody in the house seems to have picked up a stomach bug and its up to ME to gang bang
these germs out of here! (i guess in my head i look like an overweight robin williams.. oh yea)

Noir Sketches

Trying my hand with new tools (to me, at least) - Zebra brush pens with my handy Pentel Pocket Brush for an upcoming crime comic.

Drawing of Angelina

So, forgive me for the clean-up job that I did. It's late, I want to go to sleep. I stayed up late to finish this so I can get to work tomorrow.
If only I could spend more time on this but you all know how it goes. I also need to do some of these on better paper but I keep forgetting. There's only so much graphite that this paper will take, so it seems.

"Eat one bite kacie, than you can be all done!".....3 hours later...she finally did.
Oh Parenthood....its great isnt it? ;)

Mod couple

I should have spent more time on the shoes as they were wonderous.  I don't ever see that guy regretting those clothes.

Zombie Cat

I did this today for my nephew's birthday last week. Inside it says:

Zombie Cat says, "Happy Birthday!"
Either that or, "Braaiiins!"
It's hard to tell.

Sketch from the past!

As I'm really not feeling hot (once again) I am posting something from back in the day. It's in honor of Big Idea (as there are a bunch of folks from Big Idea meeting right now) I haven't missed one until now. Seeing as me passing out a la Chris Farley in Tommy Boy on one of the dinner tables wouldn't be a great idea, I decided to hang home this year. One of the guys up in the sketch is there (joe McFadden)

Autumn Colors

We just sent my daughter, who is in college in southern California, a box of leaves in their autumnal array of color. I thought it would be nice to glue a leaf to the outside of the box...then had this bright idea:
Don't judge the drawing too harshly. I did it from memory.

Wrinkles

filling up sketchbook for arthousecoop

filling up sketchbook for art house coop.. and been thinking alot about presidency lately. Ronald Reagan was so great wasnt he? Wish he was running again.. Need more people like him.

Michael Lerner

From the book "In Character:Actors acting!
Michael Lerner, faking a sulk pretending to be a fiver year old little boy. He's one of my favorites now, after seeing the series of pictures. Just incredibly funny.

The captions reads: " You are a four year old who's just been told "You can't have the Kill or Be Killed video game and if you don't stop crying, I'll really give you something to cry about."

Um...no comment.

It is with a sick fascination that American's seem to drive up the ratings on this show. On some entertainment show, it was announced they all get a pay raise. Inside my head, I protest this show, the taping of it and even worse, the watching of it. It's the car accident you can't pry your eyes away from and you silently hate yourself for it. Honey Boo Boo is what I'm referring to (as it may not be clear from my sketch)

Nepali Boy: Roughs to Inks

I haven't been sketching for its own sake the last couple weeks, obsessed instead with finishing the 15-page first chapter of my Méto the Abominable Snowboy comic. It's all drawn in Manga Studio. I skip the pencil step, drawing/inking from roughs.

I love this process, as I can undo a stroke quickly and try again, leading to loose and expressive line work. I love this process, as I can undo a stroke quickly and try again, leading to loose and expressive line work. No Wite-Out needed, either - I can just erase the ink on my Magic Drawing Glass!

PS - This GIF is showing up weird, like the line art is outlined, a vector path. It's displayed as I intended at my blog.
