Stayed up late last night watching Doctor Who reruns. Penciled this in bed, and inked it this afternoon. From an episode called "Planet of the Ood".
I love how the evil business Tycoons (played here by Tim McInnerny) still wear suits in the 44th century.

ReplyDeleteOne of these days, I shall start watching. I'm hooked to so many things right now, but most importantly, the Bible is taking up a lot of my time! THis is INCREDIBLE, TIM!!! The patience for the tentacles!! Not that you meant to do this but a Very Hirschfeld-esque face on that man - that is stylish!!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch the show when I was in high school (it's been on for ages). It's a BBC show, so I'd catch it on PBS, but I stopped watching it as I neared my 20s. Recently, my daughter started watching the new episodes on Netlix. Her interest has piqued mine. It's become a family affair now.
ReplyDeleteIt's worked out well, too, since now that she's outgrown VeggieTales, I still can draw something that she thinks is cool.
Yes, Jody, I don't know why I lean to Hirschfeld when drawing these characters. It just seems natural.
